According to the Cluster General Manager Ensana Health Spa Hotels Piest’any, Andreas Schuster, the total construction costs of the facility were almost EUR 4 million. Guests of the first five-star hotel in Slovakia will have access to the vast new wellness centre that occupies an area of 1,200 m2. The generously constructed wellness centre includes natural daylight and outdoor terraces and provides an uninterrupted view over the beautiful gardens of the Thermia Palace Hotel.
Visitors will have access to the water world with indoor and outdoor pools filled with thermal water, a spacious whirlpool, as well as the sauna world with steam, Finnish and infra saunas, innovative showers, including a shower that imitates a tropical storm, a tepidarium, and an area for relaxation that overlooks the hotel's gardens. The outdoor pool is available all year round, thanks to the thermal water and the heated floor that surrounds it.
The Irma Health Spa, where you can relax in the unique mud and mirror spa and enjoy massages and other healing, relaxation or beauty procedures, can be easily accessed from the new wellness centre.
Six rooms and a suite were built on top of the wellness centre, further expanding the capacity of the Thermia Palace Hotel. The new rooms include a spacious terrace overlooking the outdoor pool and the landscaped hotel gardens.
The new luxurious wellness centre is part of the five-star Art Nouveau Thermia Palace Hotel which has 118 rooms, a café, conference rooms and a splendid restaurant, where you can find an original painting by Alphonse Mucha. The hotel, which includes the Irma Health Spa, is situated within the wonderful area of the spa island of Piešťany. The hot mineral water springs of Piešťany with their high hydrogen, sulphur, calcium, and magnesium content were well-known and heavily used during the Roman settlement of our territory. The Thermia Palace Hotel along with the health spa have been operating since 1912, and it was the first five-star hotel in Slovakia.
