Fan-shaped building with some history
The Pro Patria was opened by a cavalry general, Habsburg Archduke Franz Salvator, and by the founder of Piešťany spa, Ľudovít Winter. The main purpose of the spa hotel at those times was treatment of injured soldiers during World War I. The unique physical structure of the hotel was strategically thought-out; today, guests to the Pro Patria from all over the world get to enjoy this open floor plan by having barrier-free access to the individual treatment rooms within Health Spa Pro Patria and to the legendary Napoleon Health Spa nearby.
