We are pausing due to lockdown from Wednesday 4th November 2020

Further to the Government announcement on the evening of Saturday 31st October closing hospitality business within England, the team at Buxton Crescent Hotel, will temporarily close the hotel from Wednesday 4th November until lockdown is lifted. The safety of our guests and hotel staff is paramount, therefore we ask you to look after yourself until we can welcome you back again. 

We will be contacting all guests who have booked a stay with us over the lockdown period to reschedule their visit to a later date.
 
The hotel looks forward to welcoming guests back to enjoy the architectural revival of this landmark building and the health and wellness traditions of the spa.

Reservation 

Given the most recent government COVID guidelines, the decision has been taken to open in the short term to hotel residents only as the safety and security of our guests and staff members is paramount. 
 
While we appreciate this will come as a disappointment to our local residents, we do want to ensure that we are taking the utmost responsibility for the safety of our local community during the global pandemic. As soon as government restrictions are lifted we will be thrilled to open our doors for dinners, drinks and day spa guests.
 

Safety & Hygiene

All employees, vendors and guests will have their temperature checked upon entering the hotel. Anyone who records a higher than normal temperature will not be permitted to enter. Those with a normal temperature will be encourage to sanitise their hands upon entering the hotel and there are hand sanitise stations throughout the hotel.

Restaurants

Breakfast: All items will be served to the guest table to minimise contact.  
Afternoon Tea: All items will be served to the guest table to minimise contact.    
Dinner: A la carte service to the guest table    

Bar, Lounge & Room Service

Food Service: All orders will be taken from the table and delivered to the guest, minimising contact at the bar.
Beverage Service: All orders will be taken from the table and delivered to the guest, minimising contact at the bar.
Room Service: Room service delivery will be announced at the door and left for the guest to collect, once acknowledged.

Guests are requested to remain seated throughout service

Spa, Wellness, Beauty & Fitness

  • Spa Opening time: 7:00am – 8:00pm 

  • On arrival at the hotel, we are allocating time slots to our guests for the spa dependant on hotel occupancy. This is to ensure a staggered approach for your communal use of the pools and relaxation areas.
  • Currently, the spa will be exclusive to our hotel guests and spa residential guests.  This is to ensure government COVID guidelines are adhered to and our guests receive the highest level of service and peace of mind. We will be opening our doors to day spa guests in the near future and we look forward to being able to welcome you as soon as it is safe to do so.
  • Spa Café: All orders will be taken from the table and delivered to the guest, minimising contact at the service counter.

  • Body temperature measurement available for all staff members.
  • Regular training for staff members on reinforced prevention measures, continous supervision of implementation. 
  • All our disinfectant agents and cleaning supplies meet British standards, provided by Diversey Zenith, our core supplier.
  • We have reviewed our internal processes and operational procedures in order to minimize interaction between members of staff and guests.

What we expect you to do!
rules and recommandations for our guests

  • As per government COVID guidelines, hotel guests are required to wear face covering within all public areas unless medically exempt.  Face coverings are not required in the restaurant, bar, lounge  and meetings rooms.
  • Please respect general social distancing measures between you, other guests and members of staff. 
  • Please respect social distancing lines at front desk areas and the rearrangement of furniture in the halls.
  • It is recommended that lifts are only used by 2 persons at a time, except members of the same family or family bubble. We recommend to use the stairs.
  • For payments at the front desks we recommend using credit or debit cards.

Halls, front offices, public areas

  • Hand sanitizers are available for guest and staff use.    
  • We suggest the use of elevators is limited to 2 persons at a time, except members of the same family or family bubble, or persons in the same room.     
  • All key cards are disinfected before and after hand over.     
  • We regularly clean and disinfect AC filters according to the reviewed program.    

Rooms

  • For guests staying more than 1 night, we have suspended daily cleaning of the bedrooms. Should you wish to have your room cleaned, this can be requested by calling reception.     
  • Towels, bed sheets, covers, robes can be changed at the guests request by enquiring at reception during a stay of more than 3 days.    
  • After check-out, all rooms are disinfected using British Standard approved chemicals.    
  • Tv remote controls are disinfected each time the room is serviced.    
  • All textiles used in the rooms are washed, dried and ironed at high temperatures by our linen supplier, White's Laundry.      

Restaurant & kitchen

  • All our procedures of hygine, cleaning and disinfection, supplier control and reception of goods are controlled in line with government guidance. All of our disinfectant agents and cleaning supplies meet British standards, provided by Diversey Zenith, our core supplier.    
  • All surfaces of food production and service are disinfected regularly during the operation.    
  • Hand sanitizer is available for guest and staff use.     

Spa

  • Hand sanitizer is available for guest and staff use.     
  • All contact surfaces are disinfected using British Standard approved chemicals.    
  • All textiles used in the Spa will be removed and replaced after each guest.    
  • All textiles used in the rooms are washed, dried and ironed at high temperatures by our linen supplier, White's Laundry.      
  • Spa treatment rooms will be thoroughly sanitised and disinfected using British Standard approved chemicals, after each guest.
